Privacy Data Subjects

Contactout Limited ("us", "we", or "our") operates the website https://contactout.com and the Contactout Chrome Extension (together, the “Service”). The Service aggregates personal information such as email addresses and phone numbers from publicly available sources on the internet. If you do not want your personal information to be included as part of our Service, you may opt out by contacting us at [email protected].

The purpose of processing

The purpose of the Service is to connect recruiters with job candidates by providing contact information, and conversely, to inform people about job opportunities that they may be interested in. The Service's legal basis for processing is 'legitimate interest' (GDPR Article 6.1(f)) in empowering recruiters to connect with candidates.

The Service only provides contact information in low volume for the purpose of individual and customized outreach. The Service has strict policies against spam, and does not engage in or support large volume email campaigns. We believe the value created by connecting people with jobs is sufficiently balanced with the people's interests and rights to privacy, and creates a net positive impact.

Categories of data obtained

The Service obtains email addresses, phone numbers. For the purposes of matching contact information to a social profile we also obtain other publicly available social media information such as usernames, profile urls, profile picture, first and last name, address, and profile description. All information is obtained from public sources on the internet such as forums, blogs, social media sites, and other websites. Personal data is retained for a period of 6 months before being updated or deleted if no longer required.

Recipients of personal data

The Service shares personal data with our clients who are recruiters or people who use the data for recruitment purposes.
