MIT's Office of Resource Development serves MIT’s mission by strategically fostering lifelong relationships with alumni, friends, and organizations that result in goodwill and philanthropic engagement. The Institute’s Resource Development staff works closely with the MIT Alumni Association staff and network of reunion and fundraising volunteers to generate private support for a broad range of purposes, including building construction and renovation, undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships, professorships, research, athletics, and the arts, among others.
