It provides those thinking about their next steps for the future with a timely and accessible source of independent career support. At its heart is a unique library of personal video stories by people of all ages and backgrounds, in all sorts of occupations. It is the biggest collection of its kind, with over 1200 stories filmed to date. Through articles and video stories, icould brings to life a huge variety of career possibilities which can support young people to think positively and practically about their own career decisions, regardless of personal circumstance. The videos are not solely concerned with the storyteller’s current occupation or qualifications; they are real-life narratives, taking the viewer through their personal journey and highlighting chances taken or missed, good luck and bad, life-changing events, obstacles overcome, changes of direction, skills discovered, passions followed, achievements and failures.
