Australian Institute For Teaching & School Leadership (AITSL)

The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) promotes excellence so that teachers and school leaders have the maximum impact on student learning in all Australian schools. AITSL is a public company (ABN 17 117 362 740) limited by guarantee, established under the Commonwealth Corporations Act 2001 and subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997. It is funded by the Australia Government and the Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is the sole member of the company. The Institute operates under its own constitution, with decisions made by an independent board of directors.
