Weidner was established in 1959 as a process, instrumentation, and controls distributor in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, David Weidner grew the company by taking on additional product lines and offering solutions in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada.
As the company expanded its footprint, Weidner began offering personal safety products to its process equipment customers in the mining, oil and gas, water/wastewater, and food and beverage industries. This led to expansion into the industrial safety and fire service markets.
In 2004, the company created a division of sales and service dedicated to the firefighting and industrial safety markets…Weidner Fire. In 2015, Weidner created its Plant Services division, which focuses on hygienic valve preventive maintenance, primarily in the food & beverage industry. The company is now consolidated into one identity, "Weidner," with three operating units: Process, Services, and Fire.
The company’s current ownership team includes Mark Weidner (President), Brad Colligan (Vice President, Vendor Relations & Business Development), and Troy McBride (Vice President, Sales & Marketing).
