Searsport is strategically located within easy driving distances to Bar Harbor, Bangor, Camden, Rockland and our state capital in Augusta. Belfast, Stockton Springs, Fort Point Light House, The Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Fort Knox are just some of the attractions only minutes away. Searsport is very friendly to businesses large and small. We currently participate in the Mid-Coast Pine Tree Economic Zone and have a very active Economic Development Committee. The town participates in Tax Increment Financing packages for businesses. Searsport has the fastest growing deepwater port in New England.
