Fairfax is an eclectic, progressive, family-oriented and environmentally conscious Town of approximately 7,500 residents, dedicated to preserving its unique small-town values, sustainability, diversity, and environmental stewardship. The Town is centrally located in Marin County, approximately 15 miles north of San Francisco, and features outstanding outdoor amenities (home of mountain biking), a vibrant downtown, excellent schools, and an enviable climate. The Town operates under a Council-Manager form of government.
