Established in 1984, The Summit Foundation is a community public foundation dedicated to inspiring people and mobilizing resources to improve and enrich the lives of individuals in Summit County and neighboring communities.
Over the past 32 years, The Summit Foundation has provided nearly $20.9 million in grants to over 200 nonprofit organizations operating programs in Summit, Lake, Park and Grand Counties. In addition, $2.6 million has been awarded by The Foundation in scholarships to local high school graduates pursuing post-secondary education.

In 2015, The Summit Foundation allocated $2.2 million in grants to 106 nonprofit organizations and $200,000 in scholarships to 114 local high school graduates pursuing post-secondary education.
