Tanesh Foster, the owner of SOS, discovered the world of sign language interpreting at the age of 13 while attending a church service. That inspired her to enroll in an ASL course, and she enjoyed the experience of learning sign language. Tanesh has a bachelor’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting and a postgraduate degree in Post-secondary Education as well. She is also a licensed interpreter, authorized by RID at the national level, and could not think of pursuing anything else. Tanesh is excited about the younger generation of interpreters because of their infectious energy and enthusiasm. She is a part-time instructor, mentor, and guide for the Georgia State University interpreting curriculum. Her latest pursuit involves pursuing a certificate in court reporting.
