Description
Information
The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center (HHC) exists to ensure the lessons of the Holocaust inspire action today by educating about the Holocaust, remembering its victims, and acting on its lessons. Through innovative programs and partnerships, The Center challenges injustice, inhumanity and prejudice, and fosters understanding, inclusion and engaged citizenship. The Center's museum, located at Cincinnati’s historic Union Terminal, examines the watershed moment of the Holocaust through its local connection. Through innovative storytelling, interactive experiences, and genuine artifacts, visitors witness the strength and courage of the human spirit set against the backdrop of one of the darkest chapters in human history. The museum incorporates media, artifacts, art and interactive exhibitions to share this history and its lessons. This space also includes the Humanity Gallery, where visitors see examples of individuals who have worked toward making positive changes in our community. Remembering the millions who are unable to speak, The Center, additionally, shares the voices of local Holocaust survivors, liberators, refugees, rescuers and other eyewitnesses which offer messages of hope, courage, compassion and resilience of the human spirit to over 100,000 individuals each year. In addition to preserving the history of local eyewitnesses, The Center draws upon Holocaust scholarship and research from throughout the world for its initiatives.
