The Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, MD. Our mission is to form joyful missionary disciples of Jesus Christ who transform hearts under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Basilica of the Assumption is a historic and flourishing Roman Catholic parish. We exist to invite others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to form holy friendships in our community; to teach the Catholic faith; and to worship God with all our heart, mind, and soul. Each member of our parish cherishes: The True and healing power of God’s grace, which is given to us through the sacraments of the Catholic Church and our deep life of prayer. The Goodness of all God’s people, but especially the poor and the marginalized in our neighborhood. The Beauty of our Catholic faith expressed in our divine worship, sacred music, and our historic Basilica.
