Suriname Tourism Development Bureau (STDB)

The Suriname Tourism Development Bureau (STDB) is a consultancy, employment agency and service centre focussing on the development of the tourism industry in Suriname. Mission statement: The main focus of STDB is to brand Suriname worldwide for its diversity both geographically (as the only nation to be located in South America, a member of the Caricom and bordering Europe) and culturally (as a former colony, with a large variety of etnicities and religious beliefs), while creating awareness on the implications of tourism on a local level. STDB strives to accomplish this through creating and stimulating collaboration, project development and education.
