Southern Felt Company is a part of Lydall Industrial Filtration, a division of Lydall, Inc. Southern Felt has been a pioneer in the manufacturer of technical textiles for the following market sectors: pollution control dust filtration, industrial laundry, office automation, automotive, and appliance textiles. Founded in 1987 in North Augusta, South Carolina, the Southern Felt facility encompasses over 250,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehousing space on 12 acres of land. Southern Felt pursues a policy of continuous investment and the plant utilizes state of the art production equipment specifically designed and engineered for the industrial dust filtration, automotive, laundry, and technical felt markets. A first class manufacturing facility, Southern Felt Bethune was acquired in December 2010 to continue the company's growth profile. Servicing a range of industries from power generation, through automotive, asphalt, chemical, steel, pharmaceutical to waste incineration the company has a highly motivated team of expert textile technologists, engineers, and manufacturing specialists dedicated to providing solutions and innovative products to these ever-challenging markets.
