It makes it easy to get started with Python -- you can start coding right away in your web browser, and deploy websites with just a couple of clicks. A huge number of popular Python extensions are installed by default, and if you need help from a friend, you can just share any console you're working in with them so that they can work with it too. There's a useful free plan, which provides enough power to get started (including web applications and your-username.pythonanywhere.com), a premium plan with enough power for hobbyist use, and a hosting plan which supports full web hosting features, including the user of your own domain.
