Description
Information
Barre is a low impact, high intensity workout that incorporates movements from Pilates, Yoga, and ballet. This technique uses small movements with high repetition to sculpt long, lean muscles. You do not need to have dance experience. Our instructors are trained to teach proper form and technique and assist clients of all exercise levels. Classes are low-impact but move quickly to give you a workout like no other! - Frequently Asked Questions - What can I expect in a Pulse barre class? We begin with a quick warm-up, followed by some planks and upper body work. We then go to the ballet barre to do exercises to strengthen the core, seat, and thighs. We finish with some abdominal work on the mat, followed by stretching and cool down. What do I need to bring to class? We encourage you to drink water throughout class. You may bring your own water, or it is available for purchase in studio. Equipment (Including weights, mats, balls etc.) are provided, but if you would like to bring your own mat, that is fine. What should I wear to class? We recommend capris or workout pants, and a t-shirt or tank top. Shorts are not recommended. You may go barefoot or wear socks only if they are the non-slip kind with the grippy bottoms. Is this class only for advanced exercisers? Not at all! If you are new to barre, have not exercised for awhile, are pregnant, etc – you can still do this class! Classes are challenging but designed for all fitness levels. We encourage breaks if needed and offer modifications. Be on the lookout for our Barre Basics class that breaks down the movements. Are men allowed to take classes? Yes, we welcome all participants!
