This is evidenced by our broad development portfolio of novel diagnostic tests, the first of which was launched as a reserarch test in July 2014 for Systemic Sclerosis, secured by strong IP coverage and validated by proof-of concept studies in thousands of clinical samples. The identification of patient subgroups has become essential for developing medicines that work effectively for each individual. Here, Protagen has developed NavigAID SLE to separate and define patient subgroups in SLE, overcoming heterogeneity and enabling new approaches to successful drug development. In addition, the repositioning of marketed drugs according to response rates or side effects is a key industry initiative that is supported by clinicians, patients and regulatory bodies alike. Here, Protagen is developing diagnostics products for Rheumatoid Arthritis that predict a patient's response to treatments.
