Albert Einstein once said: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” We agree. Unfortunately, if you try to teach a fish to climb a tree using most traditional e-learning, it'll die of boredom too. At Popcorn Learning Media we're all for saving fish. Popcorn Learning Media was founded by Mark Glanville. He's a nice chap who's specialised in online learning for a number of years. During that time he's noticed a few things and learned a lot. He's also adopted the odd frustration here and there. One of his biggest frustrations is that there is so much online learning content out there that has been created because of someone or other having the belief that they wanted to make a better textbook. The problem is that, if you think about it, the text book for many was never the right way to present the material in the first place. He established Popcorn Learning Media because he wants to change things for the better. It's our belief that online learning has to be engaging if it is to be successful. Unengaging content doesn't get used, and if it's not used then it can't be successful. At Popcorn we simplify the complex and present it to people in the most engaging way possible. We're passionate about learning technologies and we're unashamedly tenacious in our pursuit to change the online learning landscape. This is going to be fantastic.
