Pepper Farms is building India’s largest smart farm chain connecting customers directly with farms/farmers. We aggregate by leasing/contracting protected farms standardizing them by introducing infrastructure investment, full-stack agronomy and market linkage. We provide customers reliability, consistency, transparency and standardization both on prices and quality for Fruits and Vegetables. Indian agriculture is entirely unorganized and fragmented, with 86.2% of the farmers in India being smallholders with less than 2-hectare landholding. Government of India has been trying to introduce protected farming to these farmers who have not been able to benefit mainly due to: Lack of financial services & standard quality inputs: Inputs Lack of technology & infrastructure: Infrastructure Lack of Information: Information Lack of direct access to the market: Income Agri Purchasers also don’t have easy either. The biggest problems they face are: Unreliable supply and source Uneven and low quality produce Massive price volatility Broken supply due to seasonality Pepper Farms business model is demand-led cultivation, a managed network of smart farms and full-stack agronomy. We bring farmers under a familiar brand providing them infrastructure investments, access to financial services, access to farm intelligence, access to quality inputs, access to customers and advisory. Pepper Farms is a subscription platform for individuals to grow and purchase their F&V. Customers get high quality and standard fruits and vegetables throughout at fixed prices. Throughout the year directly from the farms, they can visit and have full transparency. We are also working on intelligent farm management and monitoring platform to automate protected farming processes.
