The Lesbian News or, as is more commonly known, the LN has the distinction and responsibility of being North America’s longest running lesbian publication. Founded in 1975 in Southern California, the LN began as the lone voice for lesbian issues. Today, the LN is still the nation’s foremost voice for lesbians of all ages. The LN is the vehicle for the experience of women’s art, music, literature, films and history. We have premiered women’s films which would not have otherwise been seen. We have reviewed women’s literature and music which would not have found an audience and we have financially supported workshops and fundraisers that could not have been successful without us. Published monthly, in its current all gloss all color print magazine, and in its digital format in Apple’s iPad Newsstand, the LN features our regular departments along with specific featured sections such as: COVER STORY - A substantial pictorial feature story of national importance that have included many celebrities like Melissa Etheridge, kd lang, Ellen DeGeneres, Marlee Matlin, Hillary Clinton, Toni Braxton, Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Judith Light and Janet McTeer to name a few. LESBIANS ON LOCATION - A paparazzi look at women and events. LIFESTYLES - Features on health, fitness, style, photographic essays and our regular monthly columns.
