Leopard Tours was established in 1985 as a family business. Today, the company has grown to one of the largest Destination Management Companies in the East African region and is rated the leading tour operator in Tanzania handling thousands of visitors a year, all without losing focus on the efficiency and personalised service that has been our foundation and remains Leopard Tours tradition and trademark. We believe we have the best infrastructure in the Market. From our modern purpose built administration offices and vehicle maintenance centres in Arusha headquarters and Dar es Salaam branch office, to our on safari base at Ngorongoro, everything has been planned to improve and enhance our services. In Zanzibar we have our own customer service and operations staff based on the ground to ensure our guests enjoy personalised attention. We are also maintaining offices with meet and greet staff at the main international airports in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro International Airport and Julius Nyerere International Airport Dar es Salaam, to assist all our arriving and departing guests. About 90% of the staff have at least 10 years experience in the tourism industry. The driver‐guides and couriers are hand picked and are continually undergoing in‐house training on relevant areas including clients' safety, nature interpretation, general knowledge, and foreign languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. In response to the clients' needs, we have a very strict vehicle replacement policy that ensures a young fleet at all times. We have a total fleet of 300 well‐maintained motor vehicles, predominantly 4‐wheel drive (4WD) safari vehicles (Land Rovers & Land Cruisers) with 6‐window seats.This does away with the challenges of sub‐contracting vehicles and driver‐guides, which may compromise the quality of services. We have some of the best technicians in East Africa to ensure that the fleet's performance is up to the required standard.
