Innovenn is a skin science company with a unique portfolio of products and services. Our skin science division combines advanced living skin models, advanced in house testing services and research and development opportunities to offer a complete facilitation for the development of skin care products and their ingredients. Our aim is to assist in the discovery and evaluation of products, working with organisations from the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Innovenn’s skin science division is built on a strong heritage of internationally-respected research and expertise. Labskin is a 3D in vitro living skin equivalent that consists of an epidermal(keratinocytes) and dermal (fibroblasts) sublayer which have been cultured to form a multilayered, highly differentiated model that resembles in-vivo human skin morphology. These keratinocyte-fibroblast cell interactions are extremely important and play significant roles when assessing product safety and efficacy. Labskin has a range of applications most notably it has the unique capability to be successfully colonized with microflora and therefore can be used as a model for micorbiome, antimicrobial and microbiology efficacy studies.
