IWA Evolution Professional Wrestling

For an older generation of fans, the name IWA Championship Wrestling resonates what professional wrestling “used to be.” Once a world-wide organization, the IWA regularly made stops through the Youngstown-Warren regional area. Cards were headlined with a “who’s who” of wrestling talent, such as Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Sargent Slaughter, The Honky Tonk Man, The Bushwhackers, Salvatore Sincere and Youngstown’s own, “Ultimate Male” Preston Steele. Scaling back as most businesses have in recent times, the IWA is set to make it’s return. This August IWA Evolution will rise from the former IWA Championship Wrestling, linking the tradition of the past organization with a wrestling’s upcoming stars. IWA greats such as Doink the Clown, Preston Steele, Lord Zoltan and others will clash with a new generation of grapplers looking to make a name for themselves.
