Information
Grit Inc. was formed in 2000 as a vehicle for marketing designs created by Industrial Designer Greg Collins. For the past 25 years Greg had provided a design service to the sporting goods industry and was ready for a change. Initially Greg designed and marketed a variety of Grit branded extreme sports products, which were met with limited success. In 2004 Grit partnered with an Inventor named Aldo Buccioni who had patented an idea for a stand up ice hockey bag. In 2006 after two years of research and development Grit introduced "The Grit Hockey Tower". Two years after its introduction this revolutionary new hockey bag took the market by storm, selling tens of thousands of bags in over eight countries. In the spring of 2010 Grit will complete its hockey bag line up with the introduction of a completely redesigned player bag called the HT2 and a goalie bag called the SUMO. Grit’s long term plans include the development of new bags for other sports such as soccer, figure skating and many other sport specific applications.
