Information
Quiet/busy books are stage based books interactive books containing a number of interactive activities on each page specifically designed to encourage your little one to develop a variety of skill sets. The books are constructed using cotton blend fabric and OEKO-TEX® felt. We use velcro, snap fasteners, zips, buckles and buttons to develop a variety of skills. Each book combines elements of sensorial, practical life skills, problem solving, math, language and creative play to keep your little one learning, having fun and playing for hours. Every book sold educates one girl. UNESCO estimated that there were 258 million youth out of school. UNESCO also estimates that 60 million people can come out of poverty if all adults finish 2 more years of school or finish secondary education. This is the power of formal education. Currently, our focus is on bringing education to those who do not have access to education. We believe education of young children is a key in eliminating the poverty cycle and to create a better society. We have focused on girls in India who are living in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. There are many reasons why these girls are not in school, such as their families may not see the value in sending them to school, or perhaps they are required to support their family at home. Maybe they do not have access to adequate menstrual hygiene management or simply they do not have access to schools. Educating a girl child has shown to transform families and full communities. In such a model, not only are the girls receiving formal education but the parents and even the entire community is being educated on the importance of education for girl-child and the potential a girl has. When a girl is educated, she has better opportunities, a better future and values education. She is more likely to have fewer children, keep them healthier and is much more likely to send them to school, thereby breaking the poverty cycle for herself
