Desanco specializes in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling and simulation.
CFD simulations allow architects, building consultants, scientists and engineers to improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase safety while in the design phase of a project. We apply our knowledge and experience in simulating air and liquid flows for a range of different applications, such as:
● Car park ventilation Performance Solutions according to the NCC and AS1668.2, including the use of jet (impulse) fans
● Fire modelling to investigate the effectiveness of smoke extract systems and the impact on occupant egress and firefighting operations
● Toxic gas exposure (e.g. probability of incapacitation) and flammable gas analysis
● Explosion and fire consequence assessments as part of the safety studies for hazardous industries
● Aircraft flight performance, store separation and submarine hydrodynamic analysis for defence projects
CFD modelling is both an art and a science. Our consultants have PhD or Masters qualifications in CFD modelling.
