Costa Rica Film Commission

The Costa Rica Film Commission is a public-private council that boosts local audiovisual production business, fosters foreign investment attraction to film in the country, and encourages the exportation of audiovisual production services and contents to international markets. Formats developed in the country and promoted by the organization cover fiction feature films, series, documentaries, commercials, photoshoots, video clip or corporate videos, video, and audio postproduction. The commission includes the participation of: • COMEX (Ministry of Foreign Trade) • PROCOMER (the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica) • CINDE (The Costa Rican Investment Promotion Company) • The Ministry of Culture and Youth (MCJ) • Costa Rican Center for Cinematographic Production (Centro de Cine) • The Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) • Costa Rican Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies – Audiovisual Chapter (CAMTIC / CAIAC) The Costa Rica Film Commission is a member of the Association Film Commissioners International (AFCI) and the Latin America & Caribbean Film Commission Network (LAFCN).
