Description
Information
According to its first members, the Club offered 'a Place of Useful Resort' to those of 'known respectability' in the City. Since 1832, important City figures such as the first Duke of Wellington, Sir Robert Peel and the original Rothschild family have used the Club to relax in good company and comfortable, elegant surroundings. The Club is the oldest in the City of London and Members may well be proud of its traditions and associations. From its very inauguration it has had a recognised status of character and dignity, which we venture to think it still maintains. Our impressive heritage is matched by our impressive range of facilities. We provide everything you would expect for modern events, conferences, lunches, dinners, receptions and meetings in the most elegant setting you will find in the City, and we are delighted to advise that the space is available to book by both members and non-members alike.
