Center For Sustainable Energy

Established in 2003 at BCC, CSE is funded with a Congressional appropriation sponsored by Representative José Serrano, and is administered through the U.S. Department of Energy. Since its inception CSE has trained over 1,500 students in Sustainability. The mission of the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE), located at the City University of New York’s Bronx Community College (BCC), is to promote and implement the use of sustainable and efficient energy technologies in urban communities through education, training, workforce development, research and project facilitation. CSE supports clean energy development and energy conservation as the means to protect the environment, enhance public health and position New York City to capture emerging economic development opportunities in the energy sector. CSE provides IREC/NABCEP certified Solar Installer training.
