The Hotel is set in 14 acres of natural gardens and woodlands yet is only 10 miles from the fantastic scenery and attractions from both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. You’ll be welcomed by our team who help to create a unique ambience and local friendliness which is constantly recognised by our guests as a reason why they return to the hotel. We have 99 bedrooms with some rooms overlooking Kendal Castle and the Lakeland Fells and four luxurious Executive Suites situated in the old part of the building for that special occasion. They're decorated in a contemporary manner with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. For dining, we have our À la carte menu at the Greenhouse Restaurant, with its contemporary style, views of our landscaped gardens and theatre window into the kitchen. Alternatively, Alexander’s, our traditional Westmorland Pub set in the Hotel grounds, offers a more informal choice and a good selection of real ales. The majority of our food is locally sourced and we offer a Cumbrian Tasting Menu in The Greenhouse. Pulse, our Health & Fitness Club boasts a superbly equipped gym, weights room and pool, but if you don’t want to work up a sweat you can take a relaxing massage in the Green Rooms Spa. Meetings and Events facilities are catered for at the hotel with a dedicated Conference & Training Centre with six rooms seating 2 to 80 delegates. All rooms have natural daylight, air conditioning and complimentary equipment to support your meeting needs. We also have two large function rooms seating 40 to 300 delegates ideal for larger conferences, events, gala dinners, award ceremonies and product launches. For teambuilding we can offer a ropes challenge course in the woods via Live For Today with 30ft climbing wall, leap of faith and zip wire, rifle shooting and archery range.
