Boardside was established specifically to deliver strategic employment law counsel to senior executives and boards. Our role extends beyond that of a traditional employment law advisor by acting as a trusted sounding board for businesses and individuals, giving them the expert knowledge and insight they need for confident planning and decision-making.
Boardside delivers tailored and highly focused strategic advice on all areas of employment law, with a particular focus on corporate support work (including TUPE and outsourcing) and strategic issues concerning senior executives and boardroom matters, including advice on strategic exits and restrictive covenants for directors in their individual capacities.
We go out or our way to understand our clients’ commercial - and personal – objectives. At Boardside, our clients remain in full control of their process with expert trusted support from a highly experienced and well-trained commercially-minded employment lawyer.
Boardside works with clients in many different sectors and we have particular expertise in assisting financial services, private healthcare and engineering firms. Service areas include due diligence reporting, warranties and indemnities, covenants in shareholder agreements, service agreements, commercial contracts, redundancy processes, employment litigation and day-to-day advisory.
Founder and principal solicitor Richard Port has gained extensive experience in advising high level national and international clients whilst working at Addleshaw Goddard and other prominent law firms. His outcome-led approach is valued by owner-managed businesses, PLCs, partners of professional services firms, sole traders and directors of FTSE companies.
As our name suggests, we are a niche employment law firm for company boards and those who sit on them, keeping them up to date with the latest legislation, offering strategic direction and being on their side.
