Bay Area Dragons

The Bay Area Dragons is a brand-new professional basketball club seeded by East Asia Super League (EASL) to represent Greater China in EASL league games, as well as travel to play top teams across the region and the world. The Dragons are dedicated to being the top professional basketball team in the Greater China region and showcasing Chinese basketball to the world. The roster is a combination of top free agents from Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR, as well as NBA-level foreign import players. For EASL games, the club will also have one Asian import, making up its dynamic roster. The club is led by legendary head coach, Brian Goorjian, and managed by Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Finals GM, Liu Quansheng. In Dragons’ first season, the club is competing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)’s Commissioner’s Cup, making the Dragons the first guest club in the Filipino league in two decades. The PBA recognizes that EASL is striving to elevate the level of basketball in the region and has expressed their support to add the Dragons to their league. Off the court, the Dragons is a social media powerhouse with unique 24/7 access, showcasing behind the scenes like never before.
