Barrington TNR

Barrington TNR cares for an estimated 75+ feral cats in the local area and was established in fall 2012. Our goal is to reduce feral cat population and improve their quality of life. Our volunteers build and maintain shelters, feed, clean up their colonies, provide medical care and rehabilitate kittens. These ferals, are not able to adjust to a life indoors and without our help they would be euthanized at a shelter or have a lower life expectancy and quality of life. TNR is a life saving process that treats feral cats humanly and ethically with compassion while reducing population. - Advocating for outside cats to be cared for humanely and to live in a safe environment - Promoting community awareness of the need to spay/neuter pets ​ - Assist colony caretakers with the care and management of their colonies - Getting all feral cats in our community spayed and/or neutered
