Did you know that there are now fewer women of color in tech than there were a decade ago? Unfortunately.. it's true! Between 2007 and 2017 there has been a 13% decrease in the number of black women tech professionals in a study done in Silicon Valley. This means the tech industry is failing to create work environments that help women of color grow long-term careers in technology. Baddies in Tech is here to change that! We are a career development and networking community that is creating safe spaces for women of color to belong in technology, whether they are just launching their careers, or growing into leadership positions. Through our inclusive community network, career development events and programming, we are empowering women of color forward through all phases of their tech career journey; with a vision of increasing representation of women of color in computing roles to 10% by 2030!
