First inspired by the Dutch word houden (meaning “to hold,” as in traditional wedding vows!), we began dreaming of new ways to celebrate love and life’s not-so-everyday moments. Since opening our doors on Valentine’s Day in 2011, we’ve traveled the world in search of emerging designers, heirloom-quality craftsmanship, and designs with a layered complexity and innate sense of discovery. Striking the balance between elegance and effortlessness, we’re a brand for brides who want to be inspired and intimately understood. We’ve also discovered a faster, simpler way to shop for your wedding wardrobe, with many styles in stock and ready to ship at a moment’s notice. Collaborations with top designers and an inclusively-sized Plus collection allow us to offer exclusive gowns to every bride.
