Information
Wolf Hill Garden Center is proudly a family owned and operated business. In 1978, brothers Jim & John McKechnie started a landscaping company. They saw the need for a Garden Center on Cape Ann, and with the help of family and friends, started a retail garden center in Gloucester, MA. In 1998, they opened their second garden center in Ipswich, MA. As the brothers grow older, their children are very involved in the company, and continue to operate the company as a family business. The landscape division has retired, but the garden centers are continuing on with the help of their children, as well as their very loyal and dedicated employees. Both Garden Center locations are open year round and stock a great variety of things for your garden and landscaping needs. We sell to both retail and wholesale customers, and offer exceptional customer service! Since New England has four very different seasons, our business changes seasonally. In the spring and summer, we offer a vast selection of nursery stock (trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, houseplants, tropicals, bulbs etc.), landscape materials (bulk materials: mulch, loam, stone, sand & compost; cobblestones, landscape edging, sod, pavers, grass seed, and much more), garden center products (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds & seed starting products, pest/rodent repellents, garden & landscaping tools, gardening gloves, gardening hats and shoes, etc.), pottery, statuary, birdbaths, outdoor furniture and garden accents. In the fall, we bring in a lot of decor to decorate your home for the fall - pumpkins, mums, gourds, corn stalks and scarecrows. We offer seasoned & kiln dried firewood. During winter, we’re a Christmas wonderland. We have Christmas trees, wreaths, urns & container arrangements, winter shrubs and trees, Christmas lights, Christmas tree stands, ornaments & gifts. Throughout the four seasons, our Ipswich location carries home décor in their extensive 2-story gift shop that shouldn’t be missed!
